She\'s now got a baby brother (Tobias Alexander) born 17th November 2007.
The moment I found out I was pregnent with Shakira my life changed (as it was our 4th attempt at IVF after an ectopic pregnancy)
I was ecstatic to say the least.
At my 12wk scan they discovered that the nuchal fold at the rear of her neck was extremely large (indicating downs or a heart defect)
I returned at 13wks for another scan and it had rectified itself, so we thaught no more of it.
At my 20 week scan everything was normal too.
By now we knew we were expecting a girl (I was over the moon)
At my 34wk scan they found cysts on her right kidney so I was told that the worst case scenario would be that sh\'ed have to have her kidney removed (little did they know), and to return for another scan in 3wks.(which was the 14th Jan)
On 9th Jan I said to my hubby that the baby had not mooved as much as usual (by now I was 36+weeks).
On the 10th there was no movement so I started to get concerned and phoned the m/w on the morning of the 11th.
Went down for monotoring (there was no heart beat)
I cant remember much from that point, but thats all I knew was my baby was not mooving on the screen.
I then called my mother and she was there in 10 mins (felt like a life time).
She was such a support because at that time my hubby was histarical, I was just numb.
I was induced that morning and it took a further day for anything to happen.
I went into labour at 4.30pm on 13th January 2007.
I was then taken to the delivery suite. My hubby,mother and brother were there, they were my living angels.
My missing angel Shakira was born at 8.00pm and weighed 4lb14oz.
The m/w dressed her and give her to me to hold (she was perfect)
We were then taken to a private room where we spent a precious 2 days with our angel (that I will never forget).
Thats all we have to remember our angel is a bundle of photos and our memories. (we wish so much that she was here)
The funeral took place a week and a half later. Much to our supprise the vicar said that there were over 300 people there.
I now visit the grave once a week and will continue to do so, but I should not be doing that, I should be holding her.
The two songs that play throught this tribute were played at her funeral.
